A: There are only four types of natural silk produced around the world like Mulberry silk, Eri silk, Tasar silk, and Muga silk. The Mulberry silk has the highest contribution around as much as 90% of silk production, with the mulberry silkworm generally being regarded as the purest silk to be found.

 

Q: How much is the length of the saree?

A: A saree or sari is a beautiful garment that represents Indian tradition and culture that consists of a drape varying from five to nine yards (4.5 meters to 8 meters) long and two to four feet (60 cm to 120 cm) broad that's typically wrapped around the waist, with one end draped over the shoulder.

 

Q:What is Banarasi silk?

A: Banarasi Silk is a pure variant of Silk originating from the beautiful city of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, India.  From the old times, Banarasi sarees are crafted exclusively for royalty families each Banarasi sari was created from real gold and silver threads, taking as much as a year to make a beautiful Banarasi silk saree.

A: Unfortunately, we don’t provide any free samples, but there are many offers on products, please check the website link for availing of these offers.

Q: Can I return/replace my product after getting it stitched from SareeSutra Studio?

A: Unfortunately, we won't be able to return/replace your product after getting it stitched as per your measurements. We suggest providing correct measurements to avoid such scenarios.

 

Q: What's the procedure if the fitting is not perfect after getting it stitched?

A: We always strive to make the stitched goods fit you perfectly, however, we also keep some extra margins so the customer can alter the product themselves. We also can do the alternations for which you can send us the product packed safely. The shipping cost will be incurred by SareeSutra
 

Q: Am I getting stitched blouse along with ready to wear lehenga?

A:We have semi-stitched Lehengas with unstitched blouses. Please read the product description for details.

Q: Are the colors or products on the website accurate?
A: All the products at SareeSutra are hand-crafted and specially created and handpicked for you. Due to the intricate and unique nature of the ethnic products available on our website, we take great pains in ensuring that we photograph all our products under standard lighting conditions so that the product image you see is as close to the product. However, there may be minor variations in the color of the fabric, dyes, prints, or embroideries of the product image you see on your monitor / mobile phone screens/laptops, etc, and the actual product.

 

Q: How do I share product links with my friends/family?

A: You can share the product using the browser link through SMS/Whatsapp etc.

 

Q: Do you notify for your fresh arrivals and deals?

A: For any discounts and fresh arrivals, a notification will be sent out if you enable the notifications.

 

Q: How do I know your products are genuine, are there any certificates available?

A: Unfortunately, there are no certificates available for authentication. But our sarees are sourced from native weavers and are the best of quality.

Q: Can I order a product if that is marked sold out?

A: If the product is marked sold out you will not be able to order the product, however, we insist you keep checking our website if the product is in stock.

Q: What is Silk Mark?

A: Silk Mark is a certificate issued by Govt of India for authentic handloom silk saree.

Q: Does products differ in look from the ones displayed online?

A: There could be a minor difference as these product pictures are shot with professional cameras in the studio.

Care Tips:

Q: Do I need to take some specific care regarding the handling of the sarees?

A: It is preferable to dry clean our products and store them in a cotton cloth when stored in the wardrobe.

Q: How to soften the stiffness in starched sarees?

A: It is always a pleasure to drape crisp cotton sarees to meetings and formal events when properly starched and ironed. However, the stiffness of starched sarees can make them rather unmanageable too. This is often the case with new cotton sarees or some fine silks such as garad or tussar. Here are some simple ways in which you can reduce the stiffness in your starched sarees.

1. If you want to soften the saree without removing the starch completely, then steam iron the saree. Remember to use the correct setting in your iron based on the saree fabric.

2. If you want to remove the starch completely, then soak the saree in cold water for 30 minutes. Then rinse, dry, and steam iron the saree to remove all traces of starch.

3. For heavily starched sarees, add half a cup of distilled white vinegar to a bucket of cold water and soak the saree in it for 30 minutes. Then rinse, dry, and steam iron the saree. It is now soft and starch-free!

Q: What are the shipping charges?

A: A free shipping on all prepaid orders. An amount of Rs.79 will be charged for COD orders.

 

Q: When can I expect my order?

 A: Once the domestic order is placed, it takes 3 to 7 business days to dispatch after placing the order. Then get delivered.
So, the estimated time would be 3 to 9 to working days. You will receive the tracking details once your order has been shipped.
